hi... a little about me

saw the push from mfk, thought I'd check it out. Looks great. I'm a misplaced Alaskan living in Texas. Used to be a saltwater fishing guide, now I teach middleschool science. Been in the hobby seriously for about 16 or so years and have done private aquarium care as well as worked at several lfs as well as a more well known cooperate store as an aquatic specialist. Have kept salt and everything from neons to aros and now keep mostly cichlids and natives. My wife picked my name as she is extremely crazy about oscars, which is better than her not being involved in the hobby at all. This site looks great. Hope it takes off. Wouldn't mind being a mod if you can use me.

My wife is collecting oscars. We have 2 tigers, 1 albino tig, 1 albino red, 1 red, and one lovely wild phase. Also have a midas, texas, flowerhorn, gt, largemouth bass, warmouth, long ear... etc.. Don't worry they are spread out. Love the personality of these predators. Wish you had a natives section, I'd love to moderate that or the ca/sa section. Thanks

O n rtc... ONce I figur out how to do the pics here I'll post some of Posiedon, my wild phase oscar. Yes, my wife is a geek and named all her oscars after greek gods (but she's a hot geek).
